Whether you’re a busy working lady or a mom chasing three kids around, we can all relate to being a busy girl on the go. Probably one of my worst habits is being late! I’m usually always running 10 minutes behind. It’s gotten worse since I’ve had kids, but I’m definitely working on it! I’ve picked up a few tricks and essentials for those busy days on the go.
*Ditch the daily shampoo. I do not wash my hair every day and every hair dresser will tell you the same – don’t do it! This will save you a lot of time in the morning if you skip your daily wash. Your hair needs the natural oils that make your hair soft and give it shine. I usually wash my hair twice (three times max) a week.
* Be prepared! I always keep a makeup bag full of my essentials in my purse (or car if it doesn’t fit it in my purse that the day). Here’s what’s inside:whats inside my purse hello fashion
  1. Hair Ties and Bobbi Pins. I can’t survive with out them! I usually throw my hair in a messy bun or braid mid-day when it starts to get in my way.
  1. Hair Oil: I love this Nexxus New York Salon Care Oil Infinite infused with Babassu and Marula Oil, especially when I am in humidity or my hair is feeling dry! Some of you saw me raving about this on snapchat the other day. It’s my favorite quick fix for my crazy hair, whether I’m taming the waves and reducing the frizz to wear my hair down or embracing the messy look with a sloppy bun. This just smooths those loose fly-aways and adds moisture to your hair without feeling greasy. I use this stuff daily. I love it because you can use it on damp or dry hair. Tip: For dry hair use conservatively. A little goes a long way. For wet hair I use about 2-3 pumps prior to blow-drying my hair.nexxus hair
  1. Lipstick. Always makes you feel a little more put together! In the summer I love hot pink shades. This Marc Jacobs shade is my favorite or MAC Candy Yum Yum.lipstick
  1. Blush or Bronzer. Aside from lipstick and concealer, these are really the only makeup pieces I keep with me all the time. Whether you just got out of the pool or are feeling a little rundown, a touch of bronzer/blush on the cheeks gives some color to your face for that fresh sun-kissed look.
  1. Brighten up. My friend introduced me to this concealer a few months ago and I swear by it. It’s a little pricey but amazing and totally worth it.
  1. Sunglasses. Honestly I rarely do my eye makeup. I just don’t have time for it! Sunglasses are a girls best friend for those mornings you are still waking up or hiding those dark circles.

Styling Secrets The Most Fashionable Women Live By

There's a certain kind of woman who appears effortlessly styled wherever she goes. We've come to know this woman as the fashion girl — the type who just gets outfit proportions, layering tricks, and how to pull off the trend of the moment. Sure, her styling prowess can be downright irritating — how does she always make it seem so easy? — but it can also be incredibly enlightening.

We've studied the styling habits of some really chic women and put together all the tips and tricks you need to know. Just scroll on for the styling secrets fashion girls live by.

Master the Basics FirstFashion girls aren't above the basics; they just know how to rock them. T-shirts, skinny black pants, and a classic pump are all among stylish women's must haves.

In a fashion girl's closet, a sheath dress isn't just a sheath dress, it might also be a jumper. They look to transform staples like a great LBD into a fabulous day dress by adding a collared shirt or pretty blouse underneath. Just start experimenting with your layers; you never know what combinations you'll love.

Never Be Afraid to Mix Prints
Whoever said you couldn't wear stripes with polka dots had no idea just how cool they would look together. Fashion girls never play by rules like that, mixing up splashy prints with ease. If you're new to the print game, look for patterns that have a similar color scheme to start, then work your way up to bolder, brighter combinations.

Do the Half-Tuck
Tucking in your shirt has become something of an art form, and naturally fashion girls are really, really good at it. The half-tuck has been embraced by bloggers and street style darlings for its effortlessly chic feel, and getting the tuck just right is sort of like styling 101 for them. Just tuck the front in and let the tail hang out for the right effect.
5

Roll Up Your Sleeves
There's more than one way to wear a button-down. It might just be the easiest trick in the book, but rolling up your sleeves makes a big difference. It depends on the shirt and the look you're going for, but rolled sleeves feel more lived-in and a little more purposefully styled.

Knot It
Tees are meant to be twisted, rolled, and knotted — and stylish girls are adept at working them all the right ways. Knotting them at the waist is an essential styling trick that helps define your figure and can help you repurpose a dress as a skirt. Simply add a button-down or t-shirt over your dress and knot it at the waist to create the illusion of a top and skirt. How's that for layering?

DAY TO NIGHT MAKE UP

DAY TO NIGHT MAKE UP

Nothing is more frustrating then having your makeup wear off midday, especially when you have a full night ahead. Sure we might go more dramatic at night, but that doesn’t mean we have time to start over from scratch. The key to taking your beauty look from day to night is all in the foundation so I wanted to share a day-to-day makeup look and how I transform it to night using Rimmel’s Lasting Finish 25 HR Foundation as the base.
DAY: I love fresh face for day, so a great moisturizer, primer, and foundation are my main tools in the morning.
  1. Start with a clean, bare face.
  2. Add primer for a smooth base and long-lasting wear to get you through both day and night. I used this one.applying foundation hello fashion
  3. Apply foundation. I love this one because it has built-in sunscreen too .You are building everything on foundation, so you’ll want something that stays put. Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR Foundation is as long-lasting as the name suggests. It has a natural matte finish which is great for a lightweight and natural look and is also a perfect base for building a more dramatic look at night. (For this tutorial I used shade 300.)
NIGHT: What I love about this foundation is that I don’t have to reapply or touch it up before going out for the night. It is long-lasting and full coverage so transitioning to night with a more dramatic look is quick and easy. Contouring is one of my favorite techniques to amp it up before a night out. Follow these tips to transition your look from day to night.
fresh-face
1. Highlighter: Use a lighter shade of your foundation or concealer for natural looking highlighter (I used Rimmel’s Lasting Finish 25HR Foundation shade 100.)  Apply to the bridge of your nose, above your cheekbones, under your eyes, and your forehead to emphasize where light would be reflected naturally. I also have dark lines around my mouth I apply highlight as well.how to contour

2. Contour: A liquid contouring product is great for precision. If you are still on the hunt for the right contouring shade, 2 shades darker than your foundation is generally a safe place to start. Before you apply and start blending, map out your contouring beforehand. Focus on your hairline, the hollows of your cheeks, along the bridge of your nose, and along your chin and jawline.

3. Be prepared to blend. The right tools are everything when it comes to contouring. I swear by the beauty blender for applying all my liquid makeup. Tip: dampen the sponge so it holds a little bit of moisture. It will apply more smoothly plus it doesn’t absorb your makeup when you apply it.evening make up hello fashion
4. Don’t forget to add a bold lip in your favorite share and a little shadow to finish the transition from a fresh face to a glam look for the night.
Voila! An easy way to take your day makeup to night with a long-lasting foundation.

Whether I’m traveling or have a busy day at work I love how the 25 hour foundation lasts all day from day to night.
